In old roman mythology. Stingrays considered as the God's companion, a peaceful docile creature who only fight to protect itself. In Chinese, it is considered as auspicious, to welcome wealth luck of sea into fortune.

For Thai people. Stingrays have been used, carved with mantras and rolled into Takrut for protection. Invincible mantra. Protection from danger/misfortune. Protect from sharp weapons, like a tough skin of Stingrays itself which known as one of the toughest leather in the world. Luangpu Aim's Takrut carved with yant blessing mantra by the monk, covered both side with silver mantra plates. Bless/chanted through ceremony.
